Edgar Lau Racing delivers professional, data-driven motorsport coaching that helps drivers become faster, safer, and more confident on track.

We work with drivers at all levels — from HPDE and time trial participants to club racers and endurance competitors — by focusing on fundamentals that translate across cars, tracks, and racing formats.

A Story Unlike Any Other

Edgar Lau's journey into motorsport didn't begin on a karting track or with a wealthy racing family behind him. It began in a living room, with a controller in hand and a dream that most people would have dismissed.

Edgar entered and won the Gran Turismo GT Academy — the same program depicted in the major motion picture Gran Turismo — and used it as a launchpad into professional motorsport. What followed was extraordinary: in just 5 years, Edgar achieved what most drivers spend 20–30 years working toward. That origin story isn't just inspiring — it's proof of an exceptional ability to learn, adapt, and perform under pressure.

A Proven Racing Career

Edgar's competitive résumé spans multiple disciplines, categories, and continents:

  • Road to Le Mans (2017) — Competed in the prestigious support race to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 5th overall in the LMP3 category, demonstrating elite-level experience in high-downforce prototype machinery
  • Italian GT Championship — Competed in both the GT3 category with Lamborghini and GT4, gaining international experience at the highest levels of GT racing
  • Ford Factory Driver — Drove for Ford in the Mustang GT4, earning multiple podiums in the GT4 category
  • 3× USTCC Champion — Three championship titles in the United States Touring Car Championship
  • Multiple 25 Hours of Thunderhill Class Wins — One of endurance racing's most grueling events, conquered multiple times
  • SCCA Runoffs 2021 — 5th place finish at the national level, competing against the best club racers in the country
  • WRL Race Winner — Outright win in World Racing League competition
