Welcome to Edgar Lau Racing. By accessing this website, purchasing services, or participating in any activities offered, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Edgar Lau Racing website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you may not use this website or purchase services.

2. Use of Website

Permission is granted to temporarily view or download one copy of the materials on this website for personal, non-commercial use only. This license does not permit modification, reproduction, or commercial use of materials without written consent.

3. Services Provided

Edgar Lau Racing provides professional motorsport services, including:

  • Beginner Coaching — for drivers with 0–3 track days in the beginner run group
  • Intermediate Coaching — for drivers with 3–7 track days in the low intermediate run group
  • Advanced Coaching — for drivers with 7+ track days in the high intermediate or advanced run group (vehicles under $100,000)
  • High-Performance & Exotic Car Coaching — for vehicles valued at $100,000 or above, factory-built race cars, and vehicles on slick tires
  • SCCA Novice License Evaluation — structured evaluation program including an online classroom session and two on-track evaluation sessions
  • Track Car Rentals — rental packages for drivers looking to experience the track in a prepared vehicle

All services are instructional and evaluative in nature. No guarantees are made regarding lap times, driver performance, race results, or licensing approval.

4. Product & Service Information

We strive to provide accurate descriptions, pricing, and availability of services. However, Edgar Lau Racing does not warrant that descriptions, pricing, or other content are error-free or current. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time.

5. Purchases, Pricing & Payment

  • All services must be purchased in advance through this website.
  • Full payment is required to reserve a service date.
  • Services are charged as full-day rates, not hourly.
  • Displayed prices include a 4% payment processing fee.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Edgar Lau Racing reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.

6. Scheduling & Track Registration

  • Scheduling is coordinated via email after purchase.
  • Customers are responsible for registering separately with the track day or racing organization.
  • Services are subject to track availability, event rules, and approval by the hosting organization.

7. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

  • 30 days or more before the scheduled date: 100% credit
  • 30–14 days before the scheduled date: 50% credit
  • 14–7 days before the scheduled date: 25% credit
  • Less than 7 days: No credit or refund

Credits are non-transferable and may be applied toward future services.

Weather conditions do not qualify for refunds or credits unless the track or event is officially closed.

8. Assumption of Risk

Motorsport activities are inherently dangerous. By purchasing or participating in services offered by Edgar Lau Racing, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with high-performance driving, including injury, vehicle damage, or death.

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Edgar Lau Racing shall not be liable for personal injury, death, vehicle damage, or loss of property.
  • Edgar Lau Racing is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Customers remain solely responsible for their vehicle, driving decisions, and compliance with event rules.

A separate on-site liability waiver is required prior to participation.

10. Safety & Eligibility

  • Participants must meet all safety and eligibility requirements set by the hosting track or organization.
  • Participants must be registered in the appropriate run group as specified for each coaching tier.
  • Vehicles must be mechanically safe and pass required inspections.
  • Edgar Lau Racing reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if safety concerns arise.

11. Data, Video & Equipment

  • Data and video equipment are not required but may be used to enhance instruction.
  • Light data and video equipment (such as Garmin Catalyst or AiM systems) may be provided when applicable, depending on vehicle compatibility and event rules.
  • Edgar Lau Racing is not responsible for equipment compatibility issues, data loss, or malfunctions.

12. Media Use

By participating in services, you grant Edgar Lau Racing permission to use photos or video captured during sessions for promotional and marketing purposes unless you notify us in writing prior to the event.

13. Changes to Terms

Edgar Lau Racing reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
