Advanced Coaching with Edgar Lau
You've put in the laps. You know the tracks. But somewhere along the way, progress stalled — and no matter how hard you push, the times aren't improving. Sound familiar?
Many advanced drivers hit a plateau not because they lack talent, but because they've developed subtle bad habits over time, or were taught techniques that are outdated or simply don't apply to modern performance driving. Edgar specializes in identifying exactly what's holding you back — breaking down ingrained patterns, correcting misinformation, and rebuilding your technique on a foundation that actually works at the limit.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 7+ track days of experience
- Must be registered in the High Intermediate or Advanced run group for your HPDE event
- Vehicle MSRP or current market value must be under $100,000. If you are driving a vehicle valued at $100,000 or above — such as a Porsche GT3, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, or similar — please see our High-Performance & Exotic Car Coaching option, which is tailored to the specific demands of high-value machinery.
What's Included:
- Full-day trackside coaching with Edgar Lau
- Plateau-breaking technique analysis — identifying and correcting bad habits and outdated teachings
- Real racecraft and traffic management — how to minimize time loss in traffic using trail braking, late apexing, and strategically setting up passes without relying on a point-by. Clean, calculated, and executed with the precision of true racing etiquette
- Lap time optimization and consistency under pressure
- Mental performance and in-session decision making
- Data and video analysis
- Post-session debrief with detailed personalized feedback
At this level, safety isn't a constraint — it's a byproduct of doing things right. Every technique taught is rooted in control and precision, because that's what fast actually looks like.
